The artists at the Official NateBrown Entertainment Launch Party Lit it UP!
On January 24, 2009 the standing room only crowd was treated to the soulful, uplifting, and sweet sounds of vocalist Rhetta Morgan who reminded us that love is the answer. Followed by the unforgettable Aziza Kinteh who takes us from the essence of her being to the motherland and back to the "brown side" of town to spread the love.
WordSmith Jones from Brooklyn NY was phenomenal. His revolutionary style of poetry never dissapoints. His debut of "This Blessed Curse" with Charlotte Mishell gave the audience a good laugh and plenty to think about. Check it out below!
Hip-hop artists True Dialect reminded the crowd of what real rap sounds like. The live collaboration with The Urban Shamans was crazy! They truly make real music for a real movement.
"Words-Sounds-Power" truly describe the energy brought by The Urban Shamans. Their rendition of Jam On It ignited the crowd and no one could sit still during their more popular song "Government". We shouted encore and they gave us so much more. We are grateful to all those who came out and look forward to many more events. More video and pictures coming soon so check back often.
